How it’s made?
During preparation a thin layer of approximately 0.5 mm is removed from the teeth.
Veneers are prepared by a dentist or by a laboratory technician with the help of an impression. It is fixed to the tooth with an extremely strong adhesive. It is a beautiful and aesthetic solution. usually made of porcelain or in the case of rear teeth of other materials based on synthetic resin (ceramage).
What are Porcelain Veneers?
VeneerIs a very thin ( 0.5 mm) layer fixed to the outside of the tooth. Usually fitted to the front teeth.
This type of veneers is not made by our dentist at the clinic but it is prepared at one of our partner hi-tech dental laboratories.
The porcelain veneer is located on the front surface of the teeth, generally on the top – like the artificial nail on the natural one. The veneer is made of porcelain and we mainly use them for aesthetic purposes. It provides a natural and healthy effect on the teeth. Since it consists of a very thin material and is attached to the tooth with a special bond (like a really strong adhesive), the preparation of the tooth is slightly necessary.
Using porcelain veneers, we can improve and convert the color, shape and position of the teeth.
E-max ceramic veneers
The full ceramic veneer provides you a highly aesthetic appearance. We tailor this thin, entirely ceramic veneer to the individual so that it fit exactly to the discolored or chipped tooth. Despite being such thin, it’s extremely strong and durable.
Ceramic veneer is a very beautiful and aesthetic solution – its color can be fit exactly to the shades of the patient’s own teeth and last but not least, it’s completely biocompatible. The achieved effect is durable and won’t discolor in the course of the time.
Is the treatment harmful to the tooth?
No. Once the damaged or discoloured tooth is numbed under local anaesthesia the dentist removes only the upper tooth surface (enamel).
It is important that this procedure does not require drilling of the tooth and does not harm any other part (e.g. root canal or crown) of the tooth.
