BAR RETAINED DENTURES
Overdenture based on dental implants (4)
In bar retained dentures 2 to 4 implants are placed in the jaw. A metal bar that runs along the gum line is attached to the implants. Special attachments are fitted to the bar and the denture to provide maximum stability. When the denture is clipped into place, it is aesthetically perfect and is held there with approximately the same stability as a fixed bridge.
